Come on the Starsky and Hutch car is way ahead of the Blues Brothers. Just the cool 70′s car alone. The top nine ok, My picks #1 Bullitt,#2 Gone in 60 seconds,#3 Vanishing point #4 Starsky and Hutch,#5 Smokey and the Bandit,#6 Eat my Dust,#7 Dirty Mary,Crazy Larry,#8 Aloha Bobby and Rose,#9 American Graffitti,#10 Death Proof. All muscle cars are cool.
    Thanks

  2. cptncnauk says:

Nice video for ‘Death Proof’… too bad the highlighted car is not in it.

  3. Rob says:

The Nova wasn’t really StuntMan Mike’s ‘Hero Car’ of DeathProof – it was a Dodge Charger as seen in the provided clip, along with the Challenger that was bastardized to have window frames added. This list is also missing the 1971 HEMI-Cuda convertible from Nash Bridges. Afterall, 4 of the 10 clips have MoPar’s in them already.

  4. STEPHEN HEARSE says:

In Vanishing Point have you notice that the film is backwards, people are driving right handed cars?

  5. Mitch says:

No Delorean? No 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance(aka Ecto-1)? This list is incomplete.

  6. Fred says:

    Holy Omissions!! No Batmobile?

  7. Steve says:

Yes there are some nice cars here and some obvious ommissions. However the biggest overlook was the original Gone in 60 Seconds.Eleanor in the 1974 film was a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1,the final car chase wasn’t 5 minutes like the Cage fluff, but almost 40 minutes long. You want to see the undisputable #1 rent or better buy this classic.H.B.Halicki not only stars but does all his own driving.

  8. John says:

Come on now. Any list of the top 10 TV and Movie cars that omits the 1975 Grand Torino from Starsky and Hutch and the 1983 GMC Van from the A-Team is incomplete at best.

  9. Atticus says:

Although the rest of the movie is cheesy. The opening credits for Cannonball Run with the Lamborghini Countach gets a sloid vote from me. Notice there hasen’t been a decent, high performance vehicle made in 40 years that was “affordable”.

  10. BS LIST says:

the fact that the list is 10 cars long is a problem, there’s been far too many importants cars in movies to make such a short list, especially without having missed key vehicles

    some mentioned by others

1- Delorean from Back to the Future (3 series long, all thanks to a car, and it’s omitted? no way!)
2- Ecto-1 – Ghostbusters car was amazingly simple yet incredibly impactful for the movie
    3- Batmobile anyone?
4- Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – Ok, so everyone remembers the roll-call scene in the class, and the theme song, and what else? ohhhh that’s right… the car!
5- the Mini – Italian Job (both original and the remake in 2003)
6- the A-Team van! nothing else needs being said!
6- and for shi*s and giggles (cause it’s always fun to have a laughable pick) Herbie! hahaha

  11. Byron says:

Why is Vanishing point done in mirror image. Cars drive on the left and drivers are on the right side of the car?

  12. kelios says:

Where is the 1967 Impala from Supernatural? That is one gorgeous car. She definitely deserves a place on any list of classic cars on TV.

  13. Poseidon says:

Decent list of cars and the comments have added some more good ones. How about adding some more up-to-date models from recent movies, like the Audi R8 from the Ironman movies or Mazda RX-8 from X-Men? Aston Martin DB9 from Casino Royale? Or going back in time again, what about the Lotus Esprit-turned submarine from The Spy who Loved Me?

  14. Tim says:

The Vanishing Point clip is backwards to avoid any copyright issues. Blame YouTube and lawmakers for that!
