Fiat has one of the smallest cars on North American roads with the 500, but the automaker is looking to upsize that vehicle with the newly-announced 500L.

The 500L, which will be introduced at the 2012 Geneva auto show in March, is a five-passenger vehicle that Fiat says will expand “the brand’s style and efficiency in the growing B-segment.”

The 500L joins the aforementioned 500 coupe in the United States, as well as the full electric model and the upcoming high-performance 500 Abarth.

The newest model in the 500 lineup will be produced at Fiat’s Kragujevac, Serbia plant, and will be in U.S. showrooms in 2013.
