One can only hope the future of family transportation will somehow involve the Nissan Forum design concept.

The Forum has the body of a minivan, but not only looks much sexier, it has all kinds of technological features that would make James Bond himself proud ... especially if Bond was a father of four.

The highlight of the interior is how it has been split up into two distinct 'zones'. The front is for the parents, and leans toward information technology while the rear is geared more toward children. The second row seats turn 90- or 180-degrees to allow for more communication between the rear passengers. The second row seat also includes individual wireless monitors, located in the seat console, for watching DVDs or playing games, and integrated seat belts (also utilized in the front and third row seats).

Nissan stresses that parents will always be in control in the Forum though. One of the highlights of the technology in the concept is the 'Time Out' system, which mutes all the audio playing in the Forum, and broadcasts the parents' voice when they need to speak to children in the back while keeping their focus and attention on the road.

The automaker says a clean diesel powertrain could be available in the Forum in the United States if a production version was ever made.
