You'd think a car called 'Compact Renaissance Zero' would likely belong to a company like Bentley or Rolls Royce.

Think again though. Better known as the CRZ, this little sport sedan concept is meant to be a renaissance for the compact sports sedan market; something that sport car enthusiasts haven't seen before.

The CRZ uses hybrid technology, and though we've seen hybrid sports concepts before, it's hasn't been wrapped in a package like this.

The exterior is meant to look - not surprisingly - futuristic and dynamic. The front features an oversized grille with openings on each side to make the car feel lighter. The back of the car has tube-shaped rear combination tail lamps to ensure better rearward visibility. Honda further ramped up the CRZ's style by adding angular lights to door mirrors, LED headlights patterned after 'luminous bodies', and fin-shaped sub-lights. The whole look is rounded out by 19-inch wheels.

The inside of the CRZ is meant to look both hi-tech and sporty. Honda wanted to make something as new on the inside as it did on the outside, by giving it an 'airy spaciousness'. One feature that is sure to appeal to gawkers is the advanced interface in the cockpit, highlighted by a digital speedometer that is covered by a piece of glass artwork.
