Looking for a vehicle under $14,000? Kia has not one, but two choices.

Kia Canada has announced that the 2006 Rio sedan and Rio5 hatchback will be priced from $13,295 and $13,695, respectively.

Both vehicles are powered by a new 1.6-litre, 110-horsepower engine that deliver an improvement of up to 20 percent in fuel economy.

The sedan is available in two trim levels - EX and EX Convenience. The EX comes standard with an AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system, power/tilt steering, and a 60/40 split folding rear seat. The Convenience package adds air conditioning, remote keyless entry, power heated rear view mirrors, power windows and door locks and front seat heaters and starts at a suggested price of $14,995.

The Rio5 has the exact same two trim levels and features list. Its Convenience package starts at $15,395. The Rio5 also has an EX Sport package that includes a rear spoiler, upgraded stereo with 6 speakers, fog lamps, sport seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, and metal covered pedals. This package starts at $15,995.
