The 2007 Hyundai Accent 3-door is ready to hit showrooms in a few short months and when it does go on sale, buyers can be sure they'll have plenty of chance to customize their ride.

In fact, the new Accent 3-door will have more available accessories ( 35) than a Scion xA, according to Hyundai. Some of these accessories include a ground effects kit, cold air intake system, satellite-ready radio, aluminum pedals and doorsills, iPod holder and chrome exhaust tips.

The exterior of the Accent 3-door borrows from the E3 concept that was shown at the 2004 Geneva Auto Show. The exterior features aerodynamic halogen headlamps, bodycoloured door handles and 16-inch tires with lightweight alloy wheels. Standard on all 3-door Accents are rear spoilers and wipers.

Underneath the hood of all 3-door Accents is a 1.6-litre DOHC 4-cylinder engine with continuously variable valve timing. It produces 106-horsepower at 4,500 rpm and 110 lbs-ft. of torque at 6,000 rpm. This engine can be mated either to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic.

The body of the 2007 Accent 3-door is 39% stiffer than the previous generation and includes a front MacPherson strut suspension with coil springs and gas shock absorbers and and a coupled torsion beam rear suspension with coil springs and gas shock absorbers.

Inside, the Accent 3-door includes a 6-speaker CD player, tilt steering wheel, eight-way adjustable drivers seat,

It may not be the first thing young buyers will look for, but safety features are plentiful on the vehicle. An anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution is standard on all Accent 3-doors and it features a steel unibody structure. Four air bags are standard, while front seat side impact airbags are optional for a total of six airbags.
