GM Canada is optimistic about the future with nine different hybrid vehicles ready to hit dealerships very soon.

There are more than 100 vehicles in GM's display, including the ever-evolving shell of the electrifed Chevrolet Volt sitting front and centre on stage.

It also has two 2010 Canadian CUV premieres for us today.

First up is the mid-size Chevrolet Equinox crossover. Available with a three-litre V-6 or a new 2.4-litre direct injection four-cylinder they say delivers 25-percent better highway fuel consumption versus the outgoing model (under 8 L/100 km), this Chevy uses GM's "Theta" framework.

The redesigned 2010 Cadillac SRX luxury crossover is also built on the Theta platform; however, offers a three-litre direct-injected V-6 as standard. A 2.8-litre turbo V-6 is optional.

Other GM feature vehicles on display include the 2010 Buick Allure luxury sedan and Saturn Vue two-mode hybrid SUV. There's even a brightly-coloured new Camaro here.
