If you've ever wished you could have more control over your teen's driving habits, without heaven forbid, spying or prying, well now you can.

Ford's new "My Key" introduced as standard equipment in the entry-level Focus, allows owners to program a designated key that can set speed limit, limit audio volume, monitor mileage and disable audio systems until seat belts are buckled. Parents surveyed said that they would allow teens more driving time with the peace of mind this technology offers, while teens who were initially against My Key supported it if allowed extra driving freedom.

It's simple to set up, using the supplied Admin. Key, and extra keys are available to order. Available on the 2010 Focus, My Key will later expand throughout the Ford lineup.
