Audi's been riding a wave this year that's carried them to the top of the Canadian luxury car segment with a 22% growth spurt in a down market.

The diesel-powered A3 TDi's fuel efficiency earned the coveted Green Car of the Year award at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and closer to home, AJAC's Best New Technology Award for the Drive Select System.

Making its Canadian debut the new Audi A8 sedan is "a technical work of art" according to Marketing Director Karsten Ruwoldt.

With its aluminum "space frame structure" the A8 is 40% lighter than similarly sized competitors.

Full LED headlights "herald a new chapter in headlight technology" and an all-new 8-speed tiptronic transmission aids in a 22% greater fuel efficiency over the previous model.

The new R8 Spyder offers "breathtaking dynamics" in an open-air package -- and a top speed of 313 kms/hr.

It features a world-wide industry first: seatbelt located microphones that eliminate the need for hand-held devices.
