A vehicle that can be used for business, leisure or cargo? Sounds like it has universal appeal. Which is likely the reason GM Daewoo dubbed its MPV concept the UniVerse.

introduced at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show, the UniVerse measures 4.67 metres in length, and can reportedly seat nine passengers. The rear can be converted into an office, camper-style sleeping area, or cargo hold. A number of high-tech features, including the latest infotainment technology, are integral parts of the new common-rail diesel MPV. Two sliding doors allow easy access to the interior of the mid-size MPV.

Interior space is maximized through use of a long wheelbase (2,870 millimetres) and modern monocab design, with a vertical rear end and an almost horizontal roofline. Large screens dominate the instrument panel. And the latest infotainment technology provides telematic services and offers nine occupants the chance to enjoy high-quality entertainment.

The Daewoo UniVerse is powered by a refined common-rail diesel engine. The 3.0-litre V6 unit has four-valve technology and delivers 191 horsepower@ 3,000 rpm. The maximum torque – about 301 lbs.ft – is available at 2,000 rpm.
