Another Dodge vehicle could be coming soon complete with global aspirations - and it's still not a truck.

The Dodge Avenger concept is a D-segment (mid-size) sedan that looks to carry the company's bold styling and could feature a CRD (diesel) model that would presumably be sold in areas outside of North America. The newest Dodge vehicle, the Caliber, is a vehicle built with the world in mind - not just one continent.

"Avenger brings Dodge brand American muscle car heritage into the global mid-size car segment. It does for the global D-segment what Caliber has done in the global C-segment — it offers a unique alternative to the competition," said Trevor Creed, Senior Vice President - Design, Chrysler Group.

The front of the Avenger features big, quad headlamps surrounded by black housings that surround the signature Dodge crosshair grille and fog lights are housed at the very corners of the front fascia.

The concept vehicle is painted in a bright red with body-coloured accents, door handles, side mirrors and rear spoiler. Adding to its sporty appearance are 19-inch performance tires and bright red break calipers. The rear includes chrome-tipped dual exhausts, which communicate the performance capability of the Avenger concept's 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine according to Dodge.
