The already-stylish Mazda CX-7 crossover receives quite the makeover at the 2006 SEMA show. Drivers will see the difference thanks to the bold yellow paint job, they'll touch the difference due to the new six-speed manual transmission, and they'll feel the difference thanks to the re-tuned engine which pushes out 300-horsepower.

Since the CX-7 already shares the same driveline as the Mazdaspeed6, the engineers decided to make the obvious step and use the same transmission for the CX-7 Adrenaline. The engine and intake system was developed with the help of rallyist and drifter Rhys Millen and his team in Huntington Beach, California. Other performance enhancements include a remote oil cooler and repositioned intercooler located opposite the oil cooler in the front fascia.

Besides the paint job - which was inspired by the yellow jerseys worn by bicyclists to signify stage and overall winners - exterior changes include a wider, lower stance (thanks to new fenders and doors) and a bolder face, all purely for the sake of aggression. From the back, there is also a new wraparound rear spoiler and unique rear glass design.

Wheel wells are filled with 22-inch wheels and tires and and the front features a clam shell front clip. In addition, a bike-rack runs down the spine of the roof, while separate clear moon roof panels run from the header to the spoiler.

Inside, the CX-7 Adrenaline has been re-trimmed to suit a cyclist, with a leather-wrapped instrument panel, a center console-integrated iPOD and laser-etched front and rear bucket seats.
