Curious as to what Acura has up its sleeve for future products? Just take a peek at the new Acura Advanced Concept and its focus on luxurious, performance-inspired styling and you'll have a good idea what the future may have in store.

The Advanced Concept has large exterior proportions, from its wide, powerful stance to its deeply-sculpted surface, to the five-sided grille. This all lends itself to looking like a true flagship sedan according to Acura.

The performance of the Advanced Concept can be hinted at with its low-to-the-ground stance and big 22-inch (front) and 23-inch (rear) polished aluminum wheels that are accented by powerful brake discs and calipers.

"We wanted to capture the essence of an ultra luxurious sedan but give it a striking, mysterious presence to create a vehicle with a dual personality," said Dave Marek, chief designer, Honda R&D Americas, Inc. "The concept echoes this quality with its clean exterior lines, a wide stance, high performance cues and key luxury accents."

From the rear, the jewelled taillights are pushed to the edges of the bumper to help accentuate its low, wide stance. Once again, adding to the performance aspect of the sedan are integrated dual exhaust outlets.

The cockpit is very compact and flows from trunk to hood. To help connect occupants to the outside world, the roof consists entirely of tinted glass to make for a panaromic view that also shields those inside from bright sunlight.
