General Motors is asking consumers to rock the vote.

The automaker will be unveiling three new minicar concepts at the New York Auto Show and has set up a website where consumers can choose which design they like best.

The automaker is actually gauging reaction to and interest in minicars in the U.S. with the contest. If there is a lot of positive response then Chevrolet will take into account the poll results from the website (www.vote4chevrolet.com) in determining a future minicar in the United states.

The four-door Trax is the only one of the three that has been shown so far. It's powered by a 1-litre gasoline engine, with its upper-body coloured in 'Blaze Orange', and lower body panels using a burnt orange finish.

All three vehicles will be aimed at young car buyers in urban markets and GM says that the cars will deliver fun, good fuel economy and value.

The minicars were designed at GM' s Design Studio in Incheon, South Korea.
