The third 'X' model in BMW's lineup has very little to do with utility, and everything to do with performance.

The BMW X6 concept is what the company calls the world's first Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV). Above all, the focus with the car is on sportiness, and though there is no official word yet from BMW about what engine will be fitted inside the X6, BMW and driving enthusiasts alike can rest assured it will handle as well as any BMW.

It's easy to notice the big air intakes on the front of the X6, which are split by chrome-coloured bars. The roofline is at its highest point right above the driver, giving an 'extravagant' effect according to BMW.

The X6 uses BMW's brand new Dynamic Performance Control, a system that works in tandem with the companys' xDrive all-wheel drive system to provide drivers with more power to the rear wheels when needed, such as when over or understeer occurs around a bend.
