Subaru has announced a special edition version of the Impreza wagon that will only be available in Canada and will cost $24,995.

The Special Edition Impreza 2.5RS Wagon comes standard with a moonroof, WRX-type bucket seats, a rear spoiler, MOMO steering wheel, body-coloured side spoilers and side door mirrors, leather-wrapped brake lever and gear selector, an upgraded stereo system, and alloy pedals for models equipped with manual transmission.

These extras would normally cost over $4,500 but with the Special Edition, customers will only have to add $2,000 to the base Impreza wagon.

"From time to time, Subaru creates a special edition of one of our popular vehicles especially for the driving enthusiasts in this country," said Norio Osakabe, chairman, president and CEO of Subaru Canada. "It's a way of saying 'thank you' to Canadian Subaru fans, by offering them something different, something unique, a car that only they can own - and making it a superb value."
