The Tundra is all-new for 2007. It's completely redesigned, bigger and features new body and engine configurations to keep every truck buyer happy.

Toyota says that the new Tundra will be aimed at full-size truck owners, who demand the most out of pickups. It has a towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. thanks in part to an optional 5.7-litre V8 i-Force engine. It will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

It will also have a significantly longer wheelbase, an overall length that is 10mm longer than its predecessor and increased height and width to put it among the leaders in overall size.

Three cab configurations will be available, including double cab, and three trim levels - Base, SR5 and Limited. Available accessories include a widescreen backup camera, bluetooth wireless phone compatibility and a JBL premium auto system.

"As much as the new Tundra has changed, there are a few things that remain the same," said Tony Wearing, managing director of Toyota Canada Inc. "Tundra will still offer the most comfortable, quiet and refined ride in the full-sized truck segment. Its build quality, reliability and durability will remain second to none."

The newest Tundra will be in showrooms in early 2007.
