Chrysler is going long with its 300 sedan.

The 2007 Chrysler 300 Long Wheelbase adds more than six inches longer than the regular version, allowing for a total of 46 inches of rear legroom and an additional 10.2 cubic feet of interior space.

The 300 Long Wheelbase will include options such as lighted rear writing tables, two 12-volt power ports for computers/cell phones, footrests, lighted vanity mirrors and directional reading lights for rear passengers, and available custom paint colors or pinstriping. The newest 300 is expected to attract sales from the livery/limousine industry, as well as retail customers.

It will be available in one of two engine configurations - a 3.5-litre V6 that produces 250-horsepower will be housed in the Touring edition while a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 will power the 300C version. The Hemi version produces 340-horsepower and features a multi-displacement system, where four of the eight cylinders are shut off when all of them aren't needed, allowing for improved fuel economy.

Chrysler says that more info on the 300 Long Wheelbase, such as pricing and production numbers, will be released closer to launch this fall.
