The new Volkswagen Eos hits showrooms this summer, and the company has announced pricing for buyers itching to get their hands on the new convertible. The Eos will be offered at a base price of $36,900 in Canada.

Standard features on the base Eos include ABS brakes, traction control, electronic stability program (ESP), front head/thorax airbags, 17 inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, front heated seats and washer nozzles, fog lights, anti-theft alarm system with remote locking, LED taillights, and a fully power-operated folding roof with integrated glass sunroof. The top folds down in only 25 seconds, according to Volkswagen.

The Eos also features a fully independent suspension and a standard six-speed manual transmission. The vehicle is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque.

With its folding hard-top folded, the Eos offers 205 litres of trunk space. With the top up, the trunk can accommodate 380 litres.
