The second generation of Infiniti G35 sedan builds on the lessons learned from the popular first edition in an evolutionary rather than revolutionary design.

Power is from a new generation 3.5-L V6 engine mounted in a revised FM (front mid-ship) platform.

About 80% of the major engine parts are redesigned, bringing output to 308 hp, while improving fuel economy.

Shifting is performed by a five-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode or six-speed manual transmission.

Inside, the driver's space has a scooped-out form and intuitive layout.

The instrument panel features a new white-and-violet illumination.

The leather-covered steering wheel is double-stitched by hand and steering wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls are standard.

Sport models get paddle shifters to control shifting.

For the ears, there's the optional Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose, combining a three-way front-door speaker array using 10-in. woofers with an audiophile quality head unit.

Other high-tech systems include standard Infiniti Intelligent Key with push-button ignition and available RearView Monitor and Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System.

Leather seating and aluminum trim are standard with real wood accents optional.

Vehicle dynamic control is standard as are four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, EBD and BA.

All 2007 G35s come equipped with the advanced air-bag system.
