Jaguar is ready to breathe new life into its lineup, starting with the debut of the XF luxury sport sedan.

Just stepping into the drivers seat will give you a taste of what it's capable of. As you open the door, the start button glows red and pulses like a heartbeat, and starting the engine causes the new JaguarDrive Selector to raise up.

The XF is the first in a series of vehicles to feature a brand new design language. The XF specifically is a four-door car that has the profile of a coupe. Inside, it's just as high-tech and luxurious as one would expect of a Jaguar, with touch screen controls, proximity-sensing lights near the glovebox and overhead console lights, and plenty of space for seating for up to five.

The XF will use one of two engines - a 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 and a 4.2-litre supercharged V8. The supercharged version moves the car from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, while the naturally aspirated XF goes the same distance in 6.5 seconds.

For improved handling, the XF 'has exceptional torsional stiffness' along with a wide rear track. Drivers can choose to use steering wheel-mounted shifter paddles to manually select gears.

The JaguarDrive selector 'combines precise, intuitive control with space-saving packaging to allow maximization of interior storage options'.

The trunk has 17.6 cu. ft., and if you fold down the rear seats, an extra 14.8 cu. ft. of space opens up.
