Porsche is ready to spoil North Americans even more in 2008.

The latest version of its popular SUV, the Cayenne GTS, is primed and ready to be released. The GTS will feature a specially developed chassis with permanent all-wheel drive, a V8 engine that features a big boost in horsepower and for the first time in North America, an available six-speed manual transmission.

The Cayenne GTS oozes sportiness from top to bottom. It sits lower than the other versions of the Cayenne and has large wheel-arch extensions which allow it to hold the big 21-inch wheels and tires. Inside, the Cayenne GTS uses redesigned seats that reflect the SUVs sporty nature. There are two new paint finishes available on it as well: Nordic Gold Metallic and GTS Red.

In Canada and the United States, this newest Cayenne will get Porsche Active Suspension Managament (PASM), an electronically controlled damping system and air suspension all as standard equipment.

The Cayenne GTS will cost $69,300 in Canada and the U.S. and will be available in March of 2008.
