There's a new flagship in town for Lincoln, and it's known as the MKS.

The brand new full-size MKS sedan is the only Lincoln that houses the new 3.7-litre V6, which is used in combination with an all-wheel drive. Lincoln says the V6 provides the power and torque of a V8 engine but with the fuel economy of a V6. It was derived from the engine currently being used in the MKX.

The MKS will also take advantage of Ford's new Sync technology, which allows the driver to answer and send calls, as well as receive text messages without his or her hands leaving the steering wheel.

Other technology found on the MKS includes adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, push button start, programmable rain-sensing wipers, as well as both a forward sensing system and rear camera system, so you'll never have to worry about hitting something in front of you or behind you when parking.

The MKS comes standard with 18-inch wheels, though 19- and 20-inch wheels are optional.

Standard safety features include dual-stage driver and front passenger air bags, safety belt pretensioners, load-limiting retractors, driver seat positioning sensor, side air bags, side curtain air bags with roll-fold technology and four-wheel ABS brakes, glow-in-the-dark trunk release, illuminated entry, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
