After announcing a multi year partnership with the NBA, Kia announced a vehicle that can carry a five-member team behind the front seats. A new seven passenger SUV called the Borrego will dribble into Kia dealers this summer as a 2009 model.

The Borrego is a body-on-frame SUV that will be the first Kia to be powered by a V8. The 4.6L V8 will make more than 300hp and have a towing capacity of 7,500 lbs, with the standard engine being a 3.8L V6. Four-wheel drive will be available with a six-speed automatic transmission that is unique to the Borrego, and another first for Kia.
