To add more glitter to its recent world title MotoGP victory, the Italian marque welcomes two new members to the Superbike family.

Both the mid-engine sized version 848 and an extreme racing version 1098R were unveiled at the 2007 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The 848’s purpose built L-Twin Evoluzione powerplant puts out an impressive 134 hp and 70 lb-ft of torque.

The 1098R is the most powerful and lightest twin-cylinder bike ever produced by the Ducati factory and comes with a racing kit for the track. It will take part in the 2008 World Superbike Championship. Ducati also released the new Monster 696. An evolution of its 695-cc predecessor, the popular naked bike is updated and refined with more horsepower and torque, a more muscular hybrid trellis frame inspired by the Desmosedici GP7, and mighty twin 320-mm front discs with 4-piston callipers.
