New models and concepts revealed

Lotus has four cars on display; including the Evora IPS, the recently-announced Evora S, an Exige Special Edition RGB and the awesome Lotus Esprit concept.

The Evora IPS is the standard model, but the news is that it's now got an automatic transmission complete with paddle shifters and ESP. Power comes from a 3.5-litre V6 with more than 270 hp.

More about the New York Auto Show.

Exige is in its final year, with a limited run of 45 cars set for North American (30 special or Black Editions and 15 supercharged special editions) consumption.

The Evora S is supercharged with 345 hp and does 4.6-second zero-to-60 mph.

Motorsports-wise, Lotus will build Evora racecars for the 24 hours of Le Mans as well as the Petit Le Mans to reinforce its racing pedigree worldwide.

KV Lotus' Jimmy Vasser was on hand to tell about a new 2.4-litre twin turbo V6 is being developed for next season. For this season, his IRL hopes are to win the Indy 500.
