Looking for a intelligent alternative to a minivan? Daewoo thinks it has the answer with the 2003 Rezzo, which made its Canadian debut at the 2002 Montreal Auto Show.

The Rezzo will likely take on a different name in Canada once it goes into production, but its style and practicality will remain the same as the model on display. Smaller in size than the average minivan, but larger than a compact five-door, the Rezzo aims to meet passenger space, capacity and safety needs in an aerodynamic design.

Rezzo's handling and performance was developed through Porsche Engineering. With its compact dimensions, 2.0 litre engine and Delphi braking system, the vehicle aims to outperform other minivans while maintaining a family-friendly feel.

Seats are positioned lower than a minivan's, but higher than a regular vehicle. Seats can be repositioned easily to accommodate large cargo without the bulk of a minivan. Although Rezzo is smaller, the interior space resembles a minivan's in measurement. Seats fold down to accommodate luggage, sporting equipment, and even bicycles.

Accessories include cup holders, folding tables, power windows, optional remote control stereo and of course, the ever-important sunglasses compartment.

Daewoo hopes to attract a wide range of customers, including small families, young singles and couples who enjoy an active lifestyle.
