General Motors of Canada is pricing the new Cadillac CTS base model from $37,800 (MSRP).

The new base CTS 2.8L is equipped with a new 2.8-litre V6 with variable-valve timing (VVT), allowing the engine to make 195 lbs.ft of torque and generate 210 horsepower. It is mated with a new six-speed manual transmission. A five-speed automatic transmission is available.

An impressive list of standard luxury equipment includes full range traction control, 16-inch wheels, heated driver and passenger seats, 8-way power adjustable driver's seat, leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel with audio controls and stainless steel exhaust. Also included is 2-driver personalization of features like perimeter lighting, auto door lock mode, delayed door locking and enhanced chime volume.

Other CTS models include the mid-range 3.6L and 3.6L Luxury models, both powered by a 255-hp 3.6-litre V6 with VVT, and the high-performance CTS V powered by the 400-hp small-block Chevy 5.7 V8.
