Adding to its biggest year in terms of new product, Saab introduced the 9-3 SportCombi at the 2005 Geneva Auto Show.

Saab is touting the versatility of the SportCombi in the premium mid-size wagon segment.

Just like the 9-3X sedan, the SportCombi will have an Aero model available, which includes a turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 engine that produces 250-horsepower and 258-lbs.ft of torque. A 210-horsepower, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine is also available.

In the 'versatility' department, the 9-3 SportCombi has a special stowage facility in the main cargo area. By lifting a handle, the floor lifts to divide the cargo area into to separate spaces. This also adds more space in the form of the recessed sub-floor.

The front-wheel drive SportCombi will have Electronic Stability Program on the 4-cylinder model while the V6 model comes with ESP Plus as well as hill start assist on all manual V6's to avoid rollback. All models come standard with an integrated rear roof spoiler.
