Based on GM's widely-praised mid-sized SUV architecture, the midsized H3 is the smallest Hummer in both size and price (it carries a base manufacturer's suggested retail price of $39,995).

Compared to the Hummer H2, the H3 is approximately 40 centimeters (16.9 inches) shorter in length, 15 centimeters (6 inches) shorter in height and 16 centimeters (6.5 inches) narrower.

The new H3 will also be the first Hummer in Canada to come with a 4-year, 80,000 km warranty which will be standard on all 2006 Hummer vehicles.

Standard features include full-time 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel disc brakes and 4-channel ABS, 16-inch 7-spoke aluminum wheels, CD AM/FM stereo with 6 speakers, and OnStar with 1 year Safe and Sound plan. Options include an Adventure Series or Luxury Series package, sunroof, running boards, chrome appearance package, and roof rail airbags.
